Päivi’s dream of bringing animals and people together grew from a small venture into a thriving business in the heart of Lapland.
Päivi’s Lifelong Passion for Animals
Päivi is an animal lover who has spent her entire life surrounded by animals. She began riding horses at the age of four and received her first horse, Lento Poju, shortly after. One of her most unforgettable experiences was a trail ride with a friend, where they camped overnight in the company of their horses. That morning, Päivi realized that animals and horses would be the focus of her life, and she wanted to share this passion with others.
From First Horse to Family Business
In 2008, Päivi founded a family business in Posio, offering horse trekking and husky safaris. As the business grew, it relocated to Levi in 2013. In 2016, they purchased a forest property, which allowed for the expansion of their animal care and solidified their operations. By 2017, Päivi had introduced reindeer to their offerings, further broadening the range of experiences available.
Growing a Sustainable Tourism Business
Päivi is dedicated to providing her guests with unforgettable animal experiences while ensuring the well-being of the animals remains a priority. By 2024, the business has grown and developed significantly, and Päivi continues her work with unwavering passion for both her animals and her customers
